5 Day Low Carb Family Friendly Meal Plan

I am so very excited to start sharing weekly meal plans for all of you busy mamas! One thing I know that I struggle with as a mom is coming up with meals that meet some very specific criteria.

One: The meals must be quick and easy. As a mom I am usually making dinner while tending to my two young children. Anything that requires a lot of time or thought is a no go.

Two: Healthy. I strive to feed my family healthy meals that meet their nutritional needs. I find it hard to find healthy meals that my kids will actually enjoy.

Three: Kids will at least attempt to eat it. I usually know what my kids will attempt to eat and what they won’t be touching. However, I want to be sure to introduce them to healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. So, I usually have to get creative!

Four: Variety. I often find myself making the same meals over and over again out of convenience. Sometimes, while making my grocery list, I honestly just cannot think of new meals to cook.

Five: Frugal. It is easy to spend a fortune on groceries each week. As a stay-at-home mom I try to be careful not to break the bank every time I go to the store. Having a meal plan helps me stay on track and only buy what I need!

Six: Delicious. Again, my kids won’t eat it otherwise so it must be tasty.

This week the meal plan I created came from several food blogs that I love! All of the recipes for this week are low carb and family friendly. Of course you may substitute anything you don’t care for. This is simply a plan to provide you with options and ideas! I plan to add low carb snacks and fruits to my day as well as low carb espresso drinks like my Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe!
